Existing actions to switch away from fossil fuels and reduce greenhouse gas emissions are crucial but not sufficient to protect the life support systems of the planet. Fortunately, there are solutions to rapidly draw down and sequester carbon and to protect arctic ice that can give humanity the opportunity to reach a pre-industrial level of CO2 in the atmosphere and oceans.
Dr. Field and co-panelists Dr. Brent Constantz, Founder and CEO of Blue Planet and Peter Fiekowsky, Founder and President of Healthy Climate Alliance will explore the mission of climate restoration and some of the solutions that can get us there, creating jobs and economic benefit in the process. The panel will be moderated by Marianna Grossman, Founder and Managing Partner of Minerva Ventures.
“Speaking as part of this global summit is an honor, as well as a sign that people are in search of pragmatic, safe and actionable solutions to reduce climate change impacts. Ice911's work, aimed at restoring Arctic ice, has the potential to slow global temperature rise, slow sea level rise, and reduce severe storms, droughts and wildfires. We hope you’ll come join us and be part of the solution. Every degree matters. Every degree is worth fighting for.” Leslie Field, Ph.D.
The Global Climate Action Summit will bring leaders and people together from around the world to “Take Ambition to the Next Level.” It is a moment to celebrate the movement and achievements of states, cities, companies and world citizens with respect to climate action.
Tickets are required for the panel and can be purchased here.
